Here’s a sketch from my new project. Tell me what you think!

Just taking a minute to put my digital pen down. I have finally gotten a good solid project and am hard at work. It feels so good. I am also happy to hear from my German friend. He is my biggest fan. I watched a very funny video he made for me where his wife made several snow angels. I am going to have to learn some German. I have known him for only barely a year but some how I feel like I have known him forever. So I must return to my computer illustration.

Sitting here think of ways to promote myself and art work. Freelancing is a tough business and I am still learning the ropes. What still amazes me is no matter what you do to get out there the response is very slow and sometimes not at all. I guess we can blame it on the economy but I think a bigger challenge is to compete with other countries that their illustrators will work for virtually peanuts and I am sure this is a huge carrot for businesses to get illustration on the cheap. Oh well. I will continue to keep up a positive attitude and to keep going.. If someone out there has any great suggestions on self promotion I am all ears!

Just sitting at my desk looking over some new sketches and deciding whether they should be vector or hand rendered. I often try to have a balance of images as far as mediums. I have been doing a lot of on the board art lately so it is time to go back to illustrator and make some fun spot illustration characters.
